Sectional Brackets
Sectional basketball tournaments must be completed by Saturday, February 8, 2025. The winner of each sectional tournament will advance to the state championships. Please email your sectional bracket with team names and game times to Emily Crowell at ecrowell@tssaa.org AND Richard McWhirter at rmcwhirter@tssaa.org as soon as your teams are known and then continue to send updates as teams advance. We should receive an email from you on February 8 notifying us which teams have advanced to the state championships. We will post your bracket and any other relevant information for your sectional here.
Admission & Finances
The admission price per day for the sectional tournament is set by the host site, but cannot exceed the following amount:
Ages 5 and older - $8 on GoFan, $10 cash at the gate
Children under the age of 5 will be admitted for free. Tournaments may sell cash tickets at the gate or utilize GoFan for advance ticket sales.
The TACA card (presented with ID that matches name on card) and the TSSAA ID and TMSAA ID cards are the only passes that should be accepted for entry. Each admits one only.
You will be required to submit a Financial Report for your sectional via your TSSAA Portal account. You will find the report under Forms > New Form > Postseason Tournament Financial Reports. TMSAA will receive 18% of gate receipts. Expenses, including officials’ payments, must be paid from the remaining gate receipts and then any leftover amount is to be divided among the participating schools.
Host schools may retain all money from concessions and parking, should they choose to charge for it. Parking fees should not exceed $5 per vehicle per day. Host schools have the ability to arrange for a merchandise vendor to be on site, but should they want to use the TMSAA logo, they will need to go through the official TMSAA merchandise vendor, Northwest Designs. Northwest Designs will have an online store available to purchase basketball sectional apparel that you should share with participating schools.
