Weakley Park in Clarksville served as host to the 7th annual TMSAA Cross Country State Championships on Saturday, October 2nd. With the addition of more schools to the TMSAA membership this year, a record 84 member schools competed in the four state championship races.
In Class A, Legacy Middle School won the girls' championship as well as both the girls' and boys' individual titles. Legacy 8th graders Larkin Johnson finished first for the girls in 12:04.76, and Dylan Lookingbill led the boys with an 11:44.98 performance. Thompson's Station Middle School took home the boys' team championship.
Brentwood Middle School girls' and boys' teams
Brentwood Middle School claimed the team championships for both girls' and boys' in Class AA. Sarah Potter from Dickson Middle School won the girls' race in 12:09.04 and Owen Clemons of Cleveland Middle School earned the boys' individual championship in 10:19.30.
