The 2025 TSSAA Middle School fall sports season came to a close with championships held across Tennessee in volleyball, girls soccer, cross country, and tennis. Student-athletes from across the state represented their schools with pride as they competed for team titles and the opportunity to end their seasons as state champions.
Volleyball and Girls Soccer
The TSSAA Middle School Volleyball and Girls Soccer State Championships were held October 9–10 at Brentwood High and Middle Schools. West Greene captured the Class A volleyball championship, while West Collierville claimed the Class AA title. In girls soccer, Henry Elementary earned the Class A championship, and Houston took home the Class AA championship.
This year marked a milestone for the TSSAA Middle School division, as it was the first-ever Girls Soccer State Championship. The addition of this event provided new opportunities for female student-athletes to compete for a state title and continues to expand participation across middle school sports in Tennessee.
Cross Country
The TSSAA Middle School Cross Country State Championships were held October 4 at Weakley Park in Clarksville. Teams from all corners of the state came together for a day of great competition and sportsmanship. In the girls’ division, Ridgeview captured the Class A title, East Hickman won Class AA, and Houston earned the Class AAA championship. On the boys’ side, Providence Academy won Class A, Legacy Middle School took home the Class AA title, and Woodland Middle School claimed the Class AAA championship.
Tennis
The TSSAA Middle School Tennis State Championships were held September 27–28 in Murfreesboro. Woodland Middle School won the girls’ championship, and Collierville captured the boys’ championship.
TSSAA congratulates all participating schools, coaches, and student-athletes for their outstanding performances during the fall season and for representing their schools and communities with pride.
